Today it’s another videographer, Sophie of Digital Bohemia Weddings. Sophie is a creative and passionate lady, who produces crisp and beautiful wedding films your family can treasure for generations. She also offers a very cool ‘Marryoke’ video service, where you and your wedding guests can become stars in your own music video… super-fun!

Passionate, impulsive… hippy!
How did you come to work in weddings?
I did a masters degree in cinematography and love filming documentary-style. After making a couple of factual documentaries I decided I wanted to try my hand at filming weddings as it was the same kind of style. I loved and it all took off from there.
What do you love most about your job?
Hearing from a couple when they received their DVDs in the post. Quite a few people are apprehensive about the idea of being filmed, but always say afterwards that they hardly even realised we were there. When they finally sit down and watch their DVDs and see how much detail and all the wonderful moments we caught they are over the moon.
What part of a wedding makes you go ‘YES!’?
When you capture ‘THE shot’. Filming mainly with DSLRs, the footage can have a lovely film-like feel from the off, but when you capture that perfect moment, such as pulling focus from some beautiful piece of detail like the cake or flowers, and capture a brilliant spontaneous moment from one of the wedding party that don’t even know you’re there- it’s like fate. Perfect timing that you can’t imagine you could ever set up a shot for.
If you were getting married tomorrow, what would you wear?
A green, floaty, fairy wedding dress and my DMs.
